Why checking your heart health matters
Our heart health check service is designed to provide peace of mind by identifying and lowering your risk of serious conditions, including coronary artery disease, cardiac arrhythmia, heart failure and stroke.
This can be key to your long-term health as many complications are preventable. Serious conditions often go undiagnosed or without effective treatment, so it’s important to get checked even if you don’t have any symptoms.
These statistics from the British Heart Foundation highlight how common these conditions are in the UK, and why heart check-ups like ours can be crucial:
- Almost a third of all UK adults are estimated to have high blood pressure, but half of those are undiagnosed and not receiving treatment
- More than one in 10 (7.6 million people) are diagnosed with a heart or blood flow (circulatory) disease - yet many go undiagnosed, too
- Early deaths from heart disease have risen to a 14-year high, making it one of the leading causes of death
- Around 100,000 hospital admissions each year are due to heart attacks – one every five minutes – yet many patients have no prior symptoms
- People with heart failure are two to three times more likely to have a stroke but 40% are diagnosed late
- More than 1.5 million people have been diagnosed with atrial fibrillation, but it's estimated that at least 270,000 people over the age of 65 live with the condition undiagnosed
Risks and symptoms of these conditions vary from person to person. Our full heart check-up offers a comprehensive review of your personal heart health including over 30 speciality blood tests, imaging and heart rhythm analysis, plus a 30-minute consultation with one of our expert cardiologists.
They'll assess your results and create a personalised plan for improving your heart health, factoring in risks which could stop you from living the life you want. Your plan may include further diagnostic tests, heart-healthy lifestyle changes and effective treatment options, if necessary.

Who is our private heart health check for?
Our heart health check offers peace of mind for anyone wanting a complete picture, whether you or a loved one have symptoms or known risk factors. It can be particularly useful for detecting problems early before they worsen or symptoms occur and stopping them from getting in the way of your life.

- Age (routine checks are recommended for anyone over 40)
- Family history of heart conditions
- Other conditions such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes and inflammation
- Lifestyle factors such as smoking, obesity and physical inactivity
Our heart health check will help you understand your personal risk and give you a plan of action for controlling it, so you can live with greater confidence.
