Professor Ian Loftus is a Consultant and Professor in Vascular and Endovascular Surgery and is one of the leading aortic surgeons in the UK. After completing his medical training with distinction in surgery, he trained in vascular surgery in Leicester. Professor Loftus has held prominent positions, including past President of the Vascular Society of Great Britain and the British Society for Endovascular Therapy. He has published over 300 papers and authored numerous book chapters on vascular and venous disease. His clinical interests include carotid endarterectomy, endovascular aneurysm repair, endovenous surgery, laser varicose vein treatment, popliteal entrapment release, sclerotherapy, thoracic outlet decompression, aortic aneurysms, aortic dissection, thoracic aortic aneurysm, thoracic outlet syndrome, varicose veins, and venous insufficiency.
