About FRP
The Functional Restoration Programme is offered by the Acute Neurological Rehabilitation Unit at The Wellington Hospital. The programme provides interdisciplinary assessment and treatment for patients with longstanding pain.
We can combine the expertise of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, psychologists and pain specialist nurses.
A key goal of the programme is to restore function in everyday activities. We work with patients to put together a personalised programme of care to help improve functioning and overcome barriers.
Our aim is to identify the factors contributing to a patient's pain and the way this restricts their day-to-day life. We also aim to reduce these restrictions so the patient can enjoy a better quality of life.
