    Mr Martyn PL Williams is a Consultant Specialist Paediatric Surgeon and Paediatric Urologist based at Cambridge University Hospital, Addenbrookes where he is the Lead Surgeon for Paediatric Urology. He specialises in all surgical conditions affecting children especially undescended testis, foreskin problems, day and night-time wetting, urinary infection, kidney and bladder disorders, hypospadias and disorders of sexual development. He also specialises in hernia repair and laparoscopic keyhole surgery.

    Mr Williams qualified from the University of London (The Middlesex Hospital Medical School) and trained in general adult surgery in London, Leicester and Liverpool before specialising in paediatric surgery at the renowned Royal Liverpool Children's Hospital, Alder Hey. He was awarded the prestigious Smith & Nephew Research Foundation Fellowship which enabled him to spend two years at the esteemed Royal Children's Hospital, Melbourne, Australia looking in depth into the possible caused of undescended testis. He returned to Newcastle to finish his surgical training before being appointed a Consultant Specialist in Cambridge in 1995.

    Mr Williams is an examiner in paediatric surgery for the Joint Royal Colleges of Surgeons and is regularly invited to chair sessions at the British Association or Paediatric Surgeons and British Association of Paediatric Urologist's annual meetings.
