Mr. Alistair Hunter is a Consultant Orthopaedic and Hand Surgeon. He qualified from Cambridge University and University College London Medical School and completed his core surgical training at St. Thomas' in London, obtaining his MRCS in 2006. He then undertook specialist training in the North Western and Middlesex/University College rotations and was awarded FRCS in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery in 2013. Mr. Hunter received subspecialist training in hand, wrist, and upper limb surgery at the Hand Unit at Chelsea and Westminster and the Upper Limb Unit at Wrightington. He also trained at the Institut Kaplan in Barcelona, Spain. In 2015, the British Society for Surgery of the Hand awarded him the Postgraduate Diploma in Hand Surgery. Mr. Hunter is an expert in all hand and wrist conditions, managing common and complex conditions of the hand, wrist, and elbow, and complex hand and upper limb injuries. He has extensive experience in minimally invasive techniques in hand and wrist surgery. His areas of expertise include hand and upper limb trauma surgery, post-traumatic hand and wrist reconstruction, Dupuytren's surgery, nerve surgery, tendon surgery, joint replacement, ganglion cyst treatment, minimally invasive surgery, and sports injuries.
