What is Dry January?

Dry January is a challenge to go alcohol or "booze"-free throughout the month of January. But it does not stop there. People are encouraged to take a month off from alcohol at any point during the year.

Anyone can take part and it is not aimed just at those who believe they might drink too much. It includes people who feel their health and well being could benefit.
