Mr. Nama is a Consultant Gynaecologist and Lead Gynaecological Oncologist at Croydon University Hospital, as well as an Honorary Consultant at both St. George's Hospital and the Royal Marsden Hospital. He is a sub-specialist in Gynaecological Oncology, accredited by the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG), and leads the multidisciplinary team at Croydon University Hospital. He also participates in the Royal Marsden's multidisciplinary team meetings on a weekly basis.
Specializing in laparoscopic surgery, Mr. Nama has performed a wide range of minimally invasive procedures, including hysterectomies (womb removal), myomectomies (fibroid removal), ovarian cancer staging surgeries (including omental biopsy and appendectomy), and the removal of ovaries and fallopian tubes in cases of suspected or high-risk ovarian cancer. He is skilled in both keyhole surgery and more complex open procedures.
A dedicated researcher, Mr. Nama has published numerous papers and book chapters. He has been featured in press releases from both the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and the American College of Cardiology. He supervises an MD student at the University of Bristol and serves as Chief Investigator for the OCCLUDES trial (Ovarian Cancer and Capillary Density of Skin). Additionally, he is the Principal Investigator at Croydon University Hospital for the MROC trial (MRI in Ovarian Cancer). Mr. Nama is also a reviewer and author for the Cochrane Meta-Analysis group and regularly speaks at medical courses and conferences.
