About
Mr. Corbett is a Consultant Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon specializing in Upper Limb Surgery. He qualified from St. Thomas in London in 1990 and earned a PhD for his work on fracture healing. He undertook a Travelling Orthopaedic Fellowship in Annecy, France, and was appointed as a consultant in 2003. Mr. Corbett is a faculty member at international and national shoulder and elbow meetings, teaches surgical techniques both in the UK and abroad, and was the Critical Reviewer of the Upper Limb chapters in Gray's Anatomy. He is a reviewer for several medical journals, including the Journal of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery. Mr. Corbett has appeared frequently on the BBC City programme discussing and demonstrating upper limb surgery. His research interests include upper limb trauma, particularly clavicle fractures and acromioclavicular joint injuries, rotator cuff tears, and the treatment of tennis elbow. He is a member of the British Elbow and Shoulder Society, the British Orthopaedic Research Society, and the British Orthopaedic Society.
