About
Mr. Colin Bicknell is a consultant vascular surgeon and clinical academic with extensive expertise in the full range of vascular conditions requiring surgical and medical attention, including aortic, carotid artery, upper limb arterial, lower limb arterial, lymphatic, and venous disease. He has particular interests in aneurysm repair and minimally invasive (keyhole) therapies, including aneurysms and laser vein surgery, as well as thoracic outlet syndrome.Mr. Bicknell holds several prestigious positions, including President of the British Society of Endovascular Therapy, Chair of the Research Advisory Group for The Aortic Dissection Charitable Trust in the UK, Treasurer of the Surgical Section of the Royal Society of Medicine, and membership in the Vascular Society of Great Britain and Ireland and the European Society of Vascular Surgery. He is also involved in research, exploring the advantages of robotic endovascular catheters, leading to the world's first trials of vascular robotics in humans. His research interests include methods to reduce error in vascular surgery procedures and running large-scale clinical trials in aortic disease treatment. His clinical expertise includes vascular surgery, arterial and venous conditions, lymphatic and thoracic outlet syndrome, and vascular screening and lifestyle management.
