About
I’m a Consultant Gynaecologist at Salford Royal Hospital, Northern Care Alliance since September 2020. I have special interest in minimal access surgery in gynaecology and advanced laparoscopic techniques. I was trained at the Northwest Pelvic Pain and endometriosis centre at St. Mary’s Hospital, Manchester where I have gained my skills in minimal access surgery.
At my NHS base, I’m the theatre lead for gynaecology and had successfully implemented day case hysterectomy in the hospital. Following the implementation, our unit has one of the best day case hysterectomy rates in the region.
From the education perspective, I’m part of the faculty of The Gynaecological Endoscopic Surgical Education and Assessment (GESEA) programme with BSGE in the UK. I am also keen in teaching medical students and an OSCE examiner in Manchester Medical School. I have organised various laparoscopic and hysteroscopic courses for trainees throughout the years. I was nominated for the trainer of the year award in 2024 in O&G.
Outside of work, I love spending time with my wife and 2 children. I am also passionate on improving my skills in aerial photography with my drone and videography
