The Wellington Hospital Liver Unit is based within the North building in St Johns Wood. Many of our patients travel from abroad to receive treatment and we fully understand staying in hospital can be an anxious time which is why we surround you with an experienced team to support your recovery fully.
Indeed, we take a multi model approach to your recovery. Should you need surgery, you will receive advice and guidance about your operation, physical exercise, your cardiovascular health as well as nutrition – ensuring you have the best possible chance to make a swift recovery.
This continues to your care on the ward where you will have access to specialist physiotherapists, pain specialist nurses and dietitians.
Round the clock care
The Wellington Hospital has the largest private intensive-care facilities in the UK, supported by consultant intensivists, where major surgery is accommodated in all of our Level 3 facilities. With 33 Level 3 ICU beds, 24/7 care and more than a 100 specialist staff, we offer our patients some of the finest facilities in the private sector.
Our ICU cares for the full range of medical emergencies and can support patients with the most serious conditions. Our nursing staff are extensively trained to look after patients with complex medical and surgical conditions.
