Our aim is to provide absolute excellence for our patients. Working with each patient on a completely individual basis, the treatment we offer incorporates the latest modern medical developments, products and techniques.
All surgery at The London Hip Unit is carried out by one of our carefully chosen consultant orthopaedic hip surgeons, all of whom hold substantive London teaching hospital appointments.
Our team of consultants is supported by a team of registrars, anaesthetists, nurse specialists and medical secretaries working in a clinic environment, which includes X-ray and MRI testing on site.

Our team of experts
All surgery at The London Hip Unit is carried out by a team
of world-leading hip surgeons specialising in both
common and complex conditions. The team offers
minimally invasive surgical options for the treatment of hip problems, and are recognised as one of a few
teams in the UK to offer such a comprehensive and holistic
approach. The London Hip Unit is strengthened by the
medical and support teams at The Princess Grace Hospital,
including registrars, anaesthetists, specialist nurses and
medical secretaries. A purpose-built outpatient centre
provides on-site access to the latest imaging and testing,
such as MRIs, CT scans and X-rays.

The London Hip Unit is unique in the extensive level of support it offers its patients. We have a committed team of dedicated doctors and nurse-specialists who are on-hand to provide patients with individual advice.
Hip surgery
All treatments for hip problems aim to provide pain relief and an increased range of movement and mobility, with the hope of assisting a better quality of life.
Hip conditions
Problems start in the hip when the cartilage covering both surfaces is damaged or wears out. When this happens, patients usually experience pain and stiffness and a reduced ability to walk before having to stop.
