Molecular Imaging Centre

154 Harley Street , London, W1G 7LJ

Part of the renowned Harley Street Clinic, the Molecular Imaging Centre is one of UK's
most advanced diagnostic imaging facilities.

Located at 154 Harley Street, a short walk from our Main Clinic, we’re able to offer patients the very latest in diagnostic CT scanning and 3D imaging technology, essential to providing a fast and highly accurate diagnosis for a range of complex conditions.

What is Molecular Imaging?

Molecular Imaging, also known as nuclear medicine, is different from other forms of diagnostic imaging because it provides information about pathological function of your body’s organs as well as the structure. This means that we can get detailed images of changes in the body’s function and use them to detect diseases at a very early stage - often long before they appear as part other diagnostic tests.

In complex conditions such as cancer, cardiac and neurological disorders, early detection is a key part of successful treatment, which is why we’re proud to offer the fastest and most detailed diagnostic tools available.

World-class multidisciplinary teams

At The Harley Street Clinic, we work with some of the UK’s leading consultant radiologists, who can guide you through your diagnosis and treatment. They’re supported by an experienced team of specialist nurses, technicians and radiographers who are on hand to care for patients from the moment they book an appointment. We also ensure we welcome nervous claustrophobic patients ahead of their examination to check the scanner and have a face-to-face conversation with one of our team.

Fast and accurate diagnosis

We use the latest generations of PET/CT and SPECT/CT scanners, designed to offer incredibly precise imaging while limiting the dose of radiation used. We also have a diagnostic CT scanner on site that patients can benefit from as part of the same visit to reduce the need for multiple hospital trips.

We know how important a fast and clear diagnosis is, which is why all scans are reported on and sent back to your referring consultant within a maximum of 48 hours.

Molecular therapies

Some patients may also benefit from the range of therapeutic procedures we offer. Molecular therapies involve using a small amount of radioactive isotopes, which are administered either orally or intravenously. This allows us to deliver highly targeted therapy to treat a range of cancers such as thyroid cancer, prostate cancer and bone cancer as well as some benign diseases, while minimising damage to healthy tissue.

Our team of consultants will be able to carefully explain how the therapy works, and how to prepare for the treatment - those patients requiring inpatient care after their therapy will be looked after in comfortable surroundings within our Main Clinic.

Working with us

We’re committed to supporting our consultants in providing a fast and clear diagnosis. We use the latest generation PET CT and SPECT CT scanners and multiple scans are offered as part of the same appointment, with scans reported on and sent back to the referring consultant within a maximum of 48 hours.
