Mr Said Abisi is a Consultant Vascular and Endovascular Surgeon based at Guys and St Thomas' Hospitals. He also runs private clinics at London Bridge Hospital. He specialises in endovascular keyhole techniques for treating varicose veins, intermittent claudication, and carotid artery disease. He has a particular interest in new minimally invasive techniques to treat complex aortic aneurysms.
He undertook his vascular surgical training in Nottingham and London. In 2012 he was awarded the Cook/Vascular Society Fellowship, gaining experience in complex endovascular interventions at St Thomas' Hospital. Following this, he spent a year as a visiting endovascular consultant in the vascular centre in Malmo in Sweden in 2013, before taking up at consultant post at St Thomas' Hospital in London.
He has been published extensively in renowned scientific journals, and was awarded PGCAP 2008 and Master of Surgery in 2009 from King's College London. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, and is a Member of the UK Vascular Society and European Society of Vascular Surgery.
