Mr Rohit Jain is currently based at Medway Maritime Hospital where he is the Clinical Director & Consultant Orthopaedic Hip, Knee & Trauma Surgeon. Further to being a fellowship-trained specialist in primary and revision hip and knee replacement surgery, Mr Jain has a keen interest in trauma and enhanced recovery surgery and rehabilitation, as well as young adult hip pathology.

In 2019, the NHS Trust awarded Mr Jain with the Clinical Excellence Award, thanks to his commitment and concerted efforts to improving patient care and supporting the education of young surgeons. Receiving consistent recognition and praise from his patients for his outstanding care, he also achieved the Certificate of Excellence Award by the 'I Want Great Care' organisation in 2019.

Throughout his career, Mr Jain has undertaken extensive training. He completed his specialist training on the distinguished North Western Deanery Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgery Training Programme. He then went on to complete subspecialty training in hip & knee arthroplasty at the Orthopaedic and Arthritic Institute at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, Toronto, Canada. Whilst he was there, the University of Toronto awarded him a Fellowship Diploma. This has been further complemented by completing the Sir John Charnley Arthroplasty Fellowship at the UK's centre of orthopaedic excellence, Wrightington Hospital, the National British Orthopaedic Association (BOA) Transitional Lower Limb Arthroplasty Fellowship and the Academic Exchange Programme at the globally renowned ENDO-Klinik in Hamburg, Germany.

Passionate about educating and sharing his expertise, Mr Jain is a clinical and educational supervisor for junior doctors, an instructor in Advanced Trauma Life Support and a teacher on the Fellowship of the Royal Colleges of Surgeons (FRCS) exam revision courses. He is also on the panel of reviewers for the reputable Bone & Joint Journal and is a member of numerous professional associations and societies. When caring for his patients, Mr Jain lives by the following philosophy: "Listen to your patients and always have them at the centre of your thinking, that's what makes the big difference."
