Professor Abhilash Jain is a Consultant Plastic Surgeon based in London, UK. Following his graduation he began training in Plastic, Reconstructive, Hand and Aesthetic Surgery in various teaching hospitals throughout London. He undertook prestigious specialist fellowship surgical training and became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (FRCS Plast). During this time he gained experience in congenital hand surgery and cosmetic surgery.
He was awarded an MSc with Distinction from University College London as well as a PhD from the Imperial College London for his research focusing on the effects of rheumatoid arthritis on the hand.
Professor Jain was the first Plastic Surgeon to undertake a Royal College of Surgeon approved microsurgery fellowship in lower limb reconstruction and the winner of the highly sort after HEFCE Clinical Senior Lecturer-NHS award.
He has a specialist interest in all aspects of hand, lower limb reconstruction, general plastic surgery and cosmetic surgery. He is currently Associate Professor of Plastic and Hand Surgery at the University of Oxford and Imperial College NHS Trust London and undertakes large scale clinical research in Plastic and Hand Surgery in the UK.
