  Dr Caroline Houlihan-Burne is a Clinical Hypnotherapist with a background in General Practice. She graduated from St Marys Hospital Medical School, Paddington in 1994 and subsequently undertook GP training based at St Marys Hospital. She worked as an NHS GP in Buckinghamshire for 17 years before moving into private practice.
  
  Whilst committed to and practising evidence-based medicine in General Practice, Dr Houlihan-Burne has always embraced holistic medicine and been interested in mind body health in her patients. In 2012 she undertook the Medical Diploma in Clinical Hypnosis at the London College of Clinical Hypnosis and since then has been built her hypnotherapy practice seeing patients of all ages with a variety of issues. She finds her experience from General Practice helps to reassure patients and fully understand the issues they are wishing to find help with both on a physical and psychological level.
  
  Dr Houlihan-Burne sees patients for treatment with hypnotherapy wishing to address physical and psychological issues and common presenting problems include the following : anxiety both generalised and specific (eg performance, social, health), panic attacks, sleep problems, confidence and low self-esteem, stress, depression, fears and phobias (eg flying, needles, dental, vomiting), IBS, migraine, pain management, tinnitus, menopausal symptoms, infertility, pregnancy and labour, breaking habits (smoking, drinking, nail biting, trichotillomania) and weight loss.
