We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Healthcare Assistant to join our team on a fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave at Primary Care in Central London. This role is integral to both the clinical and managerial operations within our organisation.

As the Senior Healthcare Assistant you’ll lead a small team and support GPs, Nurses and Physiologists, in delivering patient medicals and GP consultations, by administering health function tests. Our Healthcare Assistants are also responsible for the day to day clinical governance tasks.

You'll provide hands-on clinical care to patients. performing all clinical tests for screening including spirometry, audio, spinal assessment, ECG, eye test, drug and alcohol testing , body composition and DNA test.

  • Undertake essential measurements such as height, weight and body composition including BMI and tissue hydration
  • Gain valid informed consent for assessment and treatment interventions in line with national and local policy.
  • Apply infection control measures within the practice according to local and national guidelines.
  • Report Variances in patient’s condition immediately to a relevant professional.
  • Liaise with clients and when appropriate discuss the results of the test carried out.
  • Stock checks, ordering and reconcile deliveries.
  • Oversee and manage compliance within the department,
  • Manage holiday schedules, sickness absences, and coordinate return-to-work plans,
  • Plan and manage diaries, responding promptly to team needs,
  • Chair staff meetings and document meeting minutes,
  • Assist with hiring,
