We are looking for a Surgical Care Practitioner with strong Robotics or Gynae experience to join our Theatres at The Princess Grace Hospital currently rated “Good” by the CQC. The theatres across our facilities, provide a vibrant, exciting and professional environment where the advance equipment and technology is second to none.

The Princess Grace Hospital is recognised as one of the leading multidisciplinary private hospitals in London. The Seven theatres at the Princess Grace provide a vibrant, exciting, and professional environment where the advance equipment and technology is second to none including a hybrids theatre, a robotic surgery suite and 3 laminar flow theatres for orthopaedic surgery.


The theatre team comprises of Consultants and Practitioners who have vast experience and knowledge across a range of specialties. There are many complex Surgeries carried out by world class surgeons, including Ortho, Robotics and Urology, General, Gynae, Breast and Spinal.

As a Surgical Care Practitioner in the Theatre, you’ll be required to support Robotic surgery within the department. This is a clinical bedside assistance role with no patient clinics involved, you will have responsibility to the consultant surgeon, with day-to-day work under the direction of the operating surgeon and as a member of the surgical care team. What you’ll bring:

  • Qualified Surgical Care Practitioner (SCP)
  • Strong Robotics or Gynae Experience Required
  • SFA Qualification
  • Registration as a healthcare professional (e.g. nurse or ODP) with a related honours degree
  • Recent experience in theatre nursing
  • 18 months working within a similar autonomous role is desirable.
  • An aptitude for clinical and operative practice
  • The ability to effectively manage the clinical area on a day to day basis and plan ahead.
