General questions

  • How do I sign up to Backlogs? icon plus

Get in touch with us to be set up at no cost. After taking a few details from you, we will send you some specially designed transportation boxes and your login details for the portal, and then you are ready to send us cases the next day (or whenever you need us).

When you are ready to receive reports, we talk through over the phone how to download reports.

We will also send a simple contract which is not exclusive and does not require a minimum number of cases to be sent.
  • How much does Backlogs charge? icon plus

For a non-selected general mix of pre-prepared slides, we charge a low fixed fee per case (with a volume discount). The price includes everything: secure courier transport, and reporting on additional levels and immunohistochemistry – so you know in advance how much you will be spending.

If you prefer to send us specific tissue types, we also have a complexity-based pricing model. Get in touch with your requirements so that we can give you a quote.

For reporting from wet tissue or blocks, please get in touch to discuss your needs.

  • Who carries out any extra work required e.g., immunos? icon plus

If we are reporting from pre-prepared slides, we will send you requests for additional levels, immunos or special stains. We can often help if the requested test cannot be undertaken locally.
