As well as private GP services, which are available between 8.30am and 8.00pm, the centre also offers a pre-assessment service to complete any tests, including blood tests, that are required pre-operatively.

Referrals for a diagnostic scans or to a specialist consultant can be made by our GPs.

Pre-admission

Pre-assessment clinics

If you are having treatment at The Princess Grace Hospital, you may be asked to attend one of our pre-assessment clinics to have a pre-operative assessment before
we carry out your procedure. This is to check your suitability for general anaesthetic and/or sedation, and to assess any pre-existing health conditions you may have.

The pre-assessment clinics are run by specialist nurses, who are supported by our anaesthetic department.

Before your appointment

You will be asked to complete an online questionnaire to provide information about your general health and medical history. Please note down any questions that you would like to ask the pre-assessment nurse about your procedure, and have a list of all of your regular medication and any recent hospital letters to hand for the assessment.

Your pre-assessment

This may include: blood tests, an electrocardiogram (ECG) or MRSA screening.
