Referring a patient
Whether you’re a GP, physiotherapist, consultant or their secretary, you can refer your patients to us for a wide range of healthcare services to any one of our world-class hospitals and specialist clinics. We strive to offer same or next-day appointments and diagnostics and, where possible, same-day patient results.
Your patients may ask to be referred to us because they:
- Want to opt for one of our self-pay treatments
- Have private health insurance and wish to claim for their treatment
- Want a second opinion on their diagnosis or treatment plan from a private healthcare professional
- Want a comprehensive view of their health by choosing a health assessment

Referral relationship team
For quick, convenient referrals – named and unnamed – contact our Relationship Manager team. They liaise and work with GPs, physiotherapists, consultants, their secretaries and patients to provide appointments at our hospitals and outpatient centres. They’re on hand to help refer your patients to the correct specialist and provide a seamless service.
The service provides you with:
- Fast access to appointments with our specialists and assistance with follow-ups
- One point of contact – they’ll look after the rest
- Help with any queries about facilities and services
- Peace of mind knowing that your patient is being looked after.
HCA UK Consultants
You and your patients can use our online directory of healthcare to find the right expert for their care. You can search by speciality or condition, by HCA UK centre location or hospital, as well as view consultant profiles and reviews.

CPD Educational seminar and events
HCA UK offers a programme of free CPD accredited education seminars covering a broad range of specialities for GPs, nurses and physiotherapists. Led by our internationally respected consultants, we showcase new developments and breakthroughs in healthcare, diagnostic procedures and conditions our specialist treat. CPD certificates will be awarded to attendees at the end of the seminar.
Due to the impact of COVID-19, we’ve taken the decision to put in place precautionary measures and postpone or cancel face-to-face external meetings and events that are not business-critical or necessary for decisions about patient care. Concierge centre: Premier and bespoke medical pathways for patients
Our Concierge Centre is a nurse-led, CQC registered dedicated service offering premier and bespoke medical pathways for both UK and international patients. Located in Marylebone, our centre provides a single point of contact from initial consultations to screening and diagnosis, second opinions and personal treatment plans. We deliver exceptional care in the safest possible environment.
We also offer a 24/7 Concierge Rapid Response Referral service for patients with time-critical and complex care requirements.
