Professor George Mikhaeel is a professor of radiation oncology and a consultant clinical oncologist specializing in the treatment of lymphoma with chemotherapy and radiotherapy. He has extensive experience in advanced radiotherapy techniques for haematological malignancies. Professor Mikhaeel's research focuses on innovative radiotherapy treatments, such as combining arc techniques with deep inspiration breath-hold (DIBH) and image-guided delivery to improve treatment accuracy and minimize radiation exposure to healthy tissues. He has practiced in this field for over 20 years and has lectured in more than 15 countries, with numerous publications, including four influential international guidelines. He is a founding member of the International Lymphoma Radiation Oncology Group (ILROG) and chairs the haematology track for the American Society of Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) annual meeting scientific committee. Nationally, he chairs the UK Lymphoma Radiotherapy Group (UK-LRG) steering committee. Professor Mikhaeel's clinical expertise includes radiotherapy, chemotherapy, and the treatment of haematological malignancies.
