Mr. Nick Aresti is an experienced Consultant Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgeon at the renowned Barts Health NHS Trust, where he specialises in upper limb surgery and complex trauma treatment. He believes in providing a well-rounded approach to the treatment of orthopaedic disorders using innovative technologies and working closely with leading physiotherapists and anaesthetists, intervening surgically only where appropriate.

Nick received his medical training at University College London, and after being awarded numerous prizes, was able to undertake a fellowship at Addenbrooke’s Hospital and later a travelling fellowship to North America to visit some of the most influential and pioneering upper limb surgeons.

Nick has previously worked as a Clinical Fellow to the National Medical Director, during which time he was placed at the Care Quality Commission (CQC) under the guidance of Professor Sir Mike Richards. He sits on various national and regional committees including the British Orthopaedic Association’s Orthopaedic committee and enjoys being involved in various streams of work within the NHS including as the governance lead at the Barts Health Orthopaedic Centre.

Nick has written three surgical textbooks, numerous book chapters and has published research in international peer-reviewed journals. He continues to pursue an academic career and is involved in various national and regional research projects.

Nick has previously worked as a Clinical Fellow to the National Medical Director, during which time worked on healthcare policy and regulation. Nick sits on various national and regional committees including the British Orthopaedic Association’s Orthopaedic committee. He continues to be involved in various streams of work with NHS England.
