Dr. Margaret Spittle is a consultant clinical oncologist with extensive experience in treating breast, skin, head and neck cancers, and AIDS-related malignancies. She also specializes in general and legal oncology. Dr. Spittle qualified in medicine from the University of London in 1963 and completed her specialist training in oncology. She has served as a specialist oncology consultant since 1971. Dr. Spittle holds the position of Dean at the Royal College of Radiologists and is a Civilian Adviser to the Royal Navy. She has been involved in various Department of Health and Ministry of Defence committees. In recognition of her services to medicine, she was awarded an OBE in 2004. Dr. Spittle's clinical expertise includes radiotherapy, ultrasound-guided biopsy, and the treatment of breast cancer, head and neck cancer, skin cancer, and HIV/AIDS-related malignancies.
