Janindra Warusavitarne is a Consultant Colorectal Surgeon at The Princess Grace Hospital, with a special interest in inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn’s disease and Ulcerative colitis), anal fistula, haemorrhoids (piles), diverticular disease, intestinal failure surgery and repair of complex hernias of the abdominal wall.

He received his training in Australia and is internationally renowned, having written many papers and book chapters on his areas of clinical interest. He has also delivered over one hundred international and national lectures and is considered a key opinion leader and innovator within his field.

Janindra has been involved in many new procedures such as video-assisted fistula treatment and laser treatment for haemorrhoids and anal fistula and is an expert in laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery, having performed many such procedures using both standard laparoscopic techniques as well as single-port surgery which allows for minimal scarring.
