Mr Colin Nnadi is a Consultant Orthopaedic Spine Surgeon at the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust with a private practice at HCA Healthcare UK's, The Portland Hospital. He undertook his specialist training in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery on the Wessex rotation UK and was awarded the FRCS (Orth) in 2006. He then undertook subspecialist training in spine surgery at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore London and the Norfolk & Norwich University Teaching Hospital. Before moving to Oxford, Mr Nnadi was locum Consultant Spine Surgeon at the Queens Medical Centre in Nottingham. He is currently Lead Clinician for the Oxford Spine Unit.
Mr Nnadi is an expert in all aspects of general and complex spinal surgery. He has a particular interest in paediatric and adult spinal deformity with the focus on early-onset scoliosis. He has studied and published extensively on this topic, both in peer-reviewed journals and textbooks. He is also the convenor for the Oxford Early Onset Scoliosis meeting which has an international character.
Mr Nnadi is on the editorial board of the European Spine Journal and he is also a reviewer for some of the most prestigious journals in the field. He has also been an Expert Medical Technology Adviser to the National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE).
Mr Nnadi is a Chair Elect of the International Growing Spine Committee for the Scoliosis Research Society (SRS) and was recently a PhD Assessment Committee member (2020) for University of Cpoenhagen Denmark.
