Mr Mohamed Abd Alazeez is a Consultant Urologist whose NHS practise is at Southend Hospital and Broomfield Hospital.

He has expertise in a number of areas including:

• prostate cancer diagnostics and treatment
• stone disease
• general urology
• benign prostatic enlargement
• inguino-scrotal urological conditions

Mr Alazeez specialises in robotic uro-oncology (e.g. robotic prostatectomy and robotic cystectomy) and has performed over 200 robotic prostatectomy procedures at Broomfield Hospital and Southend Hospital where he is the robotic lead. Mr Alazeez also pioneered day-case robotic prostatectomy services at both of these hospitals and supervises junior doctors and a senior clinical fellow in robotic surgery.

Mr Alazeez undertook extensive training in Urology in both Egypt and the UK, where his research investigated the role of multiparametric MRI in the diagnosis of prostate cancer. He has also worked at prominent urology centres such as UCLH, Bristol, and Cambridge, where he pursued his RCS fellowship in robotic prostatectomy.

Mr Alazeez attends and presents in conferences around the world to stay up to date with the current diagnostic and treatment procedures in urology.
