Professor Sarah M Creighton is a Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology with a special interest in paediatric and adolescent gynaecology and acquired and congenital genital abnormalities in addition to colposcopy. She sees a wide spectrum of patients, ranging from common problems such as teenage menstrual issues and contraception to rare and complex congenital anomalies of the genital tract. In 2000, she set up the African Women's Clinic for women affected by female genital mutilation. She is committed to improving healthcare for women affected by FGM and lectures widely on this subject.
