Having joined King’s College Hospital as a substantive consultant, he has taken the lead for Diabetic Eye Screening at Bromley in the south London area in partnership with Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals. In addition, he is actively involved in medical and clinical research, contributing to prominent international research related to eye diseases. This has resulted in his appointment as an honorary lecturer at the Imperial College London faculty. He is also a frequent speaker at ophthalmology meetings and serves as an examiner for the King's College University Hospital.

Mr Kasmiya has led retinal services in various trusts, including Chelsea & Westminster Hospital, and has been involved in anti-VEGF injection treatment for Age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, laser treatment, and cataract surgeries. With over 21 years of work experience as an eye specialist, including more than two years of quality fellowships, Mr Kasmiya has consolidated his clinical knowledge by performing thousands of cataract surgeries. He is highly skilled in using different types of lenses, including multifocal, toric, and premium IOLs. These surgeries were accomplished to the highest standards with very low complication rates.
