Mr. Loukopoulos is a consultant in general surgery and kidney transplantation. He graduated from the medical school of Athens, Greece in 1997 and qualified in general surgery in 2006. He worked for five years as a consultant in general surgery and kidney transplantation in Evaggelismos in Athens. In 2012, he moved to the UK and was appointed as a consultant in 2013. Mr. Loukopoulos's main interest is minimally invasive surgery, and he leads the program for robotic-assisted donor nephrectomy. As part of his research, he has developed a training model for robotic-assisted kidney transplantation. His treatments include adult and paediatric kidney transplantation, robotic and laparoscopic donor nephrectomy, vascular access surgery, and peritoneal dialysis access for adults and children.
