Dr Tamara Basarab is a consultant dermatologist who graduated from Guy's Hospital in 1990. Basarab undertook her specialist dermatology training in London, where she gained a wide breadth of experience working at various hospitals. Much of her training was at the prestigious national centre of excellence, St John's Institute of Dermatology, where she trained under some of the country's leading dermatologists. 

In 1999, Tamara was appointed as a consultant dermatologist at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, where she developed and led the skin allergy service as well as looking after dermatology in-patients and patients with dermatological emergencies.

As a highly experienced dermatologist, Tamara sees both adults and children and has developed several areas of specialist interest including acne, moles (with dermoscopy examination), skin cancer screening, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea and skin rashes alongside all general dermatology.
