Dr. Siamak Arami is a Consultant Haematologist and an honorary senior clinical lecturer in haematology. He previously held a post as a consultant haematologist at King's College, where he developed a particular interest in leukaemia and myeloproliferative disorders. Dr. Arami also pioneered the digital chemotherapy healthcare solution project at King's College, monitoring the first patient in the UK with chemotherapy healthcare application on Apple technology. He qualified in Medicine in 2000 and conducted immunology research at the Royal Free, London, under the World Health Organisation program. He specialised in haematology at St Mary's London and the Northern deanery, receiving his membership of the Royal College of Physicians and the Royal College of Pathologists in 2008 and 2013, respectively. He completed his post-graduate fellowship in haematological cancers and stem cell transplantation at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center and the University of Washington in Seattle, USA. Dr. Arami's research interests include digital health technology and the management of patients with leukaemia and myeloproliferative disorders. He has been an investigator in numerous national and international trials with publications in international peer-reviewed journals and national haematology guidelines. He leads the myeloproliferative disorders and chronic myeloid leukaemia programs. As well as being a keen tennis player, Dr. Arami enjoys traveling, organizing cancer charity events, and spending time with his family. His expertise includes anaemia, high and low white cell counts, high and low platelet counts, abnormal iron levels, haemochromatosis, blood clots, lumps and enlargement of lymph nodes, high red blood cells, paraprotein investigation, chemotherapy, targeted therapy and immunotherapy, anticoagulation, venesection, general haematology, blood cancers, bleeding or bruising, leukaemia, polycythaemia, myelodysplasia, lymphomas, myeloma, lymph node, and anticoagulation.
