About

Dr Shazia Malik is a highly qualified and experienced Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, with subspecialty accreditation in Reproductive Medicine and Surgery. Dr Malik is currently based at Barnet Hospital in London, where she balances a busy Obstetric workload with being the Early Pregnancy and Emergency Gynaecology lead.

Dr Malik obtained her medical degree at the University of Liverpool in 1991, where she graduated with Honours and the Gold Medal in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. She then embarked in specialist training in obstetrics at some of the largest tertiary level units in the UK. She undertook training in Cambridge, where she was also a research fellow with support of the Medical Research Council. Alongside a globally renowned team, she investigated abnormal vessel function in women with excessively heavy periods or endometriosis. 

After completing her specialty training, Dr Malik attended the distinguished University College Hospital (UCH) in London, where she gained subspecialty accreditation in Reproductive Medicine and Surgery. She remains an Honorary Consultant at UCH. Following subspecialty training, she continued to pursue her interest in Gynaecological Ultrasound at King's College Hospital.

Previously, Dr Malik was a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at St Mary's Hospital in London, as part of the Recurrent Miscarriage team. She has also worked as an IVF Consultant at a leading IVF clinic in the UK, the Centre for Reproductive and Genetic Health (CRGH).

Thanks to a wealth of experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Dr Malik offers the highest standard of care for all of her patients.
