Dr. John Collins qualified from Guy’s Dental and Medical Schools in 1961 and 1966. He held full-time posts as a Consultant Physician in general internal medicine and respiratory medicine. Dr. Collins was Head of the Department of Respiratory Medicine at The Westminster and then Chelsea & Westminster Hospitals, and Consultant Physician at the Royal Brompton. He has been active in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching throughout his career. Dr. Collins was Foundation Medical Director at Chelsea & Westminster for 10 years. His expertise includes asthma, COPD, heart-lung interaction, bronchiectasis, lung fibrosis, and respiratory medicine.
