Dr. Emma Craythorne is a consultant dermatologist specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancers and laser surgery. She treats a range of skin problems, including acne, rosacea, moles, skin cancers, scars, discolouration, eczema, psoriasis, and ageing skin. Dr. Craythorne trained in Scotland and Newcastle before completing her specialist training at King's College and St Thomas' in London. She is a consultant in the Dermatology Surgery and Laser Unit of St John's Institute of Dermatology. Dr. Craythorne leads skin cancer imaging research at the Institute and runs the UK's only service for detecting and managing skin cancer using confocal microscopy. She serves on the executive board of the British Society of Dermatological Surgery and is an advisor to NICE. Dr. Craythorne has won local and national grants for her research and authored the textbook Dermatology Pocket Tutor. Her clinical expertise includes acne, rosacea, moles, skin cancers, scars, discolouration, eczema, psoriasis, and ageing skin.
