Types of urological cancer
Bladder cancer
Bladder cancer is where a growth of abnormal tissue (a tumour) develops in the bladder lining. In some cases the tumour spreads to the surrounding muscles.
Kidney cancer
Kidney cancer, also known as renal cancer, is one of the most common types of cancer in the UK. It mostly affects older adults and men more than women.
Prostate cancer
Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men in the UK. It starts in a gland in the male reproductive system and can be asymptomatic for a long time.
Testicular cancer
Testicular cancers are also called germ cell tumours. Germ cells produce sperm in men, and these tumours usually develop in the testicles.
